The owners

Jacqueline et JulesJacqueline Gaudet and Jules Chiasson are of Acadian descendance. Jacqueline was born in Bathurst, N.B. She lived part of her youth in Montreal with her family. At the age of fifteen, her family moved to Moncton, N.B.

Jacqueline Gaudet, also known as Jackie, worked with Radio-Canada/CBC in Moncton and Halifax as a radio and television announcer. She also worked with the Isaac Walton Killam Hospital Foundation as the New Brunswick coordinator. And just before moving to Val-Morin, she was the director of the Cascade Day Spa in Moncton. Jacqueline is a public relation woman and when you will meet her, you will understand why. She likes to jog every morning. She is a person who shines and shares her joy of life.

Jules Chiasson was born in Cheticamp, Cape Breton. He's been working for Radio-Canada/CBC for over twenty-two years. He was a radio producer for fifteen years in Moncton and Halifax. Then he became director of the French radio of Radio-Canada for the Atlantic Provinces for seven years. After that he worked as councillor in the international affairs for the radio of Radio-Canada. He then was the director of the French radio of Radio-Canada in Toronto and Windsor. And since September 2003, he's the assistant of the General Manager, programs, of the French radio of Radio-Canada in Montreal. Jules likes discuss any subject with the clients. He's an adept of golf, cross country skiing and downhill skiing. The Laurentian region is paradise on earth for him.

Yvonne GaudetYvonne Gaudet, Jackie's mother, stays in the Inn also. At seventy-seven, she is in good health and keeps in good physical shape by walking regularly. She likes to talk with the clients about the Inn, her family and her past life in general. She's a very charming lady.

Les ChiensThe two dogs, Leah and Chloe, complete the family. They both are bouviers, full of energy. They really enjoy their daily walk in the trails of Val-Morin. They live in the quarters of the owners. The clients don't see them often, though they will ear them barking ounce in a while. But when they do see them, they're quite impressed by their size. Their long black/grey fur make are quite practical for the cold long winter. In spring, Leah and Chloe are shaved so they can appreciate the warm weather.
